I really wonder, before I make the trip, that if SuperAutobacs can do it. If not, would
they then ship it to a 3rd party? All was fine until it just went out. I wish I knew of a shop that specializes in this or a person. Really frustrating. Oh well, I will bring it with me tonight and perhaps a Immortal GTROC member will be there or someone that has dealt with this before. Aki, you are right, it could be an easy fix or it could be something more severe. Better have the entire thing checked out to avoid any other aggrevation and or frustration. PS. OT though, could not get any ![]() Last edited by hyrev; 10th September 2008 at 09:07 AM. |

Paul - thanks for trying (for the raisinents - my wife's favorite). As for SuperAutobacs, I meant for the fuse holder, not for those goons to tamper with your car...
see you guys soon.

ARGHHHH - WTF!
Ok, feel a little bit better. Ok. had the fuse replaced and put everything back together and then plugged it all up. Turned on the ignition and it came one! Yes! Then, yes, there is a then..... it began to fade again. It first dimmed and then went black again. So, good news is that the screen works, right. Bad news is that there is something causing this. So anyone here in Japan know where to get this fixed? Perhaps Sharp or Nissan could point me in the right direction? At this point I am pretty frustrated, although it is too early to go out and get a whole new unit. Can anyone here ask any of their local HPC or dealers/tuners of somewhere I can either go to or ship it to? Thank you in advance. When I did turn it on, the NISMO screen popped up along with the gauges then fade to black shortly after, about 7 seconds or so. I would think being in Japan there would be at list 1 million electricians that could fix this (I am stereotyping here - sorry about that) but I need to be pointed in the right direction rather than drive to every single shop and get turned down or get the "sucking air through teeth" response followed by a big fat NO. Yes, it blew. I pulled it out this am and had a look. But, I also saw this:
![]() Since I have the Sharp screen, I use the 30 pin connection in red. But the Toshiba uses a 30 and 6 pin connection, perhaps for the yellow one? Please let me know if this is correct and if anyone has done this. If so, then I can go ahead and purchase the Toshiba screen as those are always on the Yahoo auctions in Japan for about $300 or so. Then I would need to get the 6 pin connector somewhere - d'oh! The Sharp model # is 6L-U7WJ and or LQ6B50N. Also, if it is the power inverter that is causing my issues, where would that be located, out of curiousity? Would it be on the lcd portion or on the circuit board itself? (NISMO V2 board). The screen lit up momentarily when the fuse was replaced and then went back to black. ![]() ![]() Last edited by hyrev; 12th November 2008 at 01:40 AM. |

Paul - here you go - Yahoo!¥ª¡¼¥¯¥·¥ç¥ó - ¡ú¡ù¥·¥ã¡¼¥×À½±Õ¾½¥æ¥Ë¥Ã¥È¡ú£¶L-£Õ£·£×£Ê¡úÃæ¸ÅÉÊ¡ù¡ú
Although it says it's not been tested, no cracks. Protective film is still on it. Aki
