RK Tuning
I would like to say a big thankyou to Ron Kindell of RK Tuning.
My R33 GTR was left in the capable hands of big ron last week for some suple mods, remap etc.. I have got to say the magic he has performed on my GTR has totally transformed the way I look at skylines all together. Ron has surpassed my expectations in every field on what I was expecting back after the work carried out. When I first turned the key on my baby it put a grin on my face, the sound from GTR was awesome !!!! the combination of the mods and 1.3 bar had totally transformed this sleeping beauty into raging bull. I asked Ron where the nearest Shell station he kindly gave me instructions, although I drove straight past it on my way home the first time. Anyway I managed to turn around further down the road as the fuel tank was showing signs of needed much needed replenishment. Pulling up to the station, I gave a her a full recharge of V power with an added bonus of octane booster supplied by RON. This was when the fun started with a added dosage of fear !!! I initally started with the low boost setting which was more than adequate, it felt like a supercar for the first time, constant pull after pull on the gear changes. The aceleration was so explosive but yet proggessive. After a half an hours cruising at the national speed limit, I decided she was warmed up and ready for 1.3 bar. As I pulled off the first i immediately broke traction resulting her going sideways I backed off a tad to straighten her up, and after which I went up the gogs to fourth. I have to say although I was thrown back by the sheer fear of the brutal aceleration it was the best feeling I ever had since receiving my first BMX as a kid. Apologies on the long post, Although Ron is based on the edge of the world somewhere in middle earth it is well worth the trip and I cannot recommend him enough. Ray |

Good going mate. I've never experienced 1.3 bar from a skyline yet. He does seem a really good guy over there. Im glad he's garage is only 2 minutes from my house!
What was it he done to your motor mate? Im looking to do some work on mine as the powers got boring on mine. Dean j |

I had 660 sard injectors, tomei poncams, r34 elbows, plenum, tomei fuel pressure regulator, tomei pulleys, n1 nismo pump, greddy timing belt, tensioner and a remap I think. Existing mods ARC intercooler, N1 turbos, aftermarket downpipe, titanium exhaust, coilovers, hks double plate clutch, hks evc5, hks fcon sz, blitz ecu, greddy oil cooler, arc airbox, hks bovs, fwin rad etc..
Like I said it has really transformed the car into a monster. Ron knows his stuff and I wouldnt go elsewhere from now on. Count yourself lucky been only a few minutes away. It took me 4 hours to get there !!! ![]() Ray ![]() PS I received a slap from missus at 1.3bar which resulted in an average speed of 40mph back home but it was well worth it !!! lol![]() Last edited by rayman; 5th April 2007 at 02:58 PM. |
