Well I own a supra 1994 6spd tt, running 450bhp (dyno graph from surrey rolling road)... power was achieved quite easily, cams (264/264 - no change to idle), hks fuel system (680cc injectors), big fmic, exhaust, , hybrid turbos link ecu to control it all. Link and fueling is overkill for the car, turbos are the weak point now. Perfectly set for a single conversion. All I need is the single kit, a remap and I get a 500 - 550bhp out of a GT35R turbo. No engine internals changed or gearbox changes.
My car has 156K kms on the clock and has just had a bottom end build done. However while speaking to the previous owner, it turns out that he has no clue about high powered cars as he thought you could just use normal oil and fuel. The engine build was only for the bottom end shells and the piston rings got replaced while they were out.
In the end, if the cars are maintained properly and looked after, they pretty close to bulletproof!!
Now the car pulls like a train. Very happy with it... However I am looking at th R34GTRs now...
I love the look of it, looks more modern (to me), I really like AWD cars, time for a change, however I might keep the supra for fun!!
