chill out mate pepole will answer your questions in time
what i ment is that nobody seams to have manged to break one yet so nobody will know the limit as to what they can handle just get it heat treated when you have your engine built if it breaks you will find the limit as to power it can take but i would say its well over 600bhp and you are not aiming for anymore power than that so you will be fine

For me 550bhp but you can run 600 bhp if you use a good after market oil pump, shells, and balance the engine internals well.
However you can get a stroker kit with full counter crank for £2500 now days a better option. Re your head gasket question use a 0.9mm until you change pistons or skim the block or head

For crying out loud, a stock crank has been seen here in WA to do over 880hp @ all 4 wheels, balance the crank properly with a harmonic balancer which is not stock! Use a decent oil pump like jun, hks, trust and use a tomei baffle plate and you wont have an issue.
The weak point of a gtr is its oil system, the rods are strong, the pistons are weak to 500hp@ the treads. Pistons, shot peened rods or forged rods, nitrided and balanced crank, harmonic balancer like ATI or HKS (which are the same) and oil pump, baffle plate and n1 water pump.

I agree...BAlance your crank and you can pump out 650-700bhp. Anything over that then i would get a harmonic balancer.

Then why is the HKS step 1 2.8 stroker kit rated to 600ps and the step 2 to 800ps, worse performance than with a stock crankshaft?

HKS offer more stoke Vs Standard
HKS offer forged and Billet Cranks (balanced) HKS cranks are heavier than the standard crank (tested) 12 point counter weight HKS is a brand name you could achive same results with standard shaved and balanced crank. please stop from using caps and bold writing.
