Not that I am aware of, after all the Koenigsegg comes from here and we all know how loud that thing is ! Saying that it wouldn't surprise me with Vägverket (Swedish DVLA).

If there is a law (like with emissions as an example) then it would probably be next to non existant for me as my car has just been registered over here under 'flyttgods' (removable goods), I moved here from the UK and brought the car with me, so, the law's that apply to other registered cars like Skylines are a lot lighter for me

Back to the exhaust choice now, has anyone got one of the Skyline systems from Apex Performance Parts Ltd | Nissan 200SX parts specialists | Innovate Motorsport Dealers as the price is very good and I hear good things about the quality and sound ?

Shaun.

Ask Paul Creed. He has my old back section. Originally on my car with bigger downpipes and a bypass it was chucking out over 100dB on tickover!

OK, some countries like Japan you have a limitation
France is the worse because every single car got a specific db limit on the registration papers and if it's over you can get arrested, get the car locked away & also fine. Apparently, you could see cops arresting any modded cars & "sound testing" their exhaust

I heard loads of good thing about the Kakimoto one, so you can get one easily from Nengun
The one which was fitted onto my car in Japan is apparently an HKS replica, quite loud compared to my Tanabe (92db max) on my Civic

Yeah Paul's exhaust screams like a bike engine at higher RPM, you can hear it for ages before the car actually shows up...lol.

Alan, Is that the exhaust you had on at Donington ? Does it still pass trackday noise limits (on NON 105db noisey days) ? I've just got a HKS Hi-Power Silent and am toying with the idea of losing the center silencer.

Yes the Kakimoto one does sound very good indeed, I have been looking on Nengun but I can only see the jasma approved one for sale on their site now for my 33 GT-R which is no good for me as that is the restricted noise version !

Has anyone ever looked at one of these systems R33 Cat Back Exhaust Type 1 they look bloody nice and from the clips I have heard with one on a GTS-t it sounded superb.

Price isn't too bad either, this one has me tempted I have to say.

Any comments ?

aw dammit, now I'm thinking of cutting out the box on my Apexi N1 catback. It's the only silencer or restriction in the entire exhaust. I used to have the 3000rpm Drone, but toluene actually reduces it dramatically.

Wouldn't the loudest exhausts be the dragger exhausts that run separate pipes all the way form the elbows to the exit?

I, too, have been considering this mod to my HKS Hi-Power system. Anyone got any clues as to how much louder this would be? The Hi-Power Silent system has two rather large boxes. I don't want it stupidly loud, just a little more frightening to old ladies.

It's either that or find someone with a louder system who wants to swap for a more oap/dog/kitten/neighbour-friendly item.
