Kakimoto

My car has one of these fitted, it wasnt very loud when I first got it, but I pulled the ecu fuse to reset it to help it get used to the mix of petrol with race gas, and since its been reset, well its FOOOKIN noisey as hell, wayyy to noisey for me, I was wondering is there a silencer for these exhausts as it has 2 small holes in the exit pipe.

Might be interested in a px for something a bit quieter if a silencer is not available.

Someone like Merlin should be able to help you out with a baffle for the outlet http://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/EX...8a3672a9f80f75

I was looking for one not so long ago for my Kakimoto with a 4" (100mm) tip. Kakimoto make them for all their exhausts from what I could see on their Japanese web site, but I couldn't find any in the UK. I think Nengun.com can get them imported though. In the end I bought a Tanabe pipe from Tokyo-Express.co.uk cause I was desperate to get one quick for a track day. It just about fits OK and does the job of cutting the noise down (but costs £80!).

They do sell bungs for the exhausts.

Be careful though, Can't remember who it was but his bung came out at motorway speed. Fortunately there was nothing behind.

The noise will settle down again though.
Mrs B actually thinks my kakimoto is quieter on idle than my old HKS silent effort.

Actually I think thats what happened to mine when I gave it a fairly rapid launch it got immediately louder and I just checked after posting this and noticed something missing inside the exhaust

I had a hks si on the supra with decats , and its no where near as loud as this. My car has no carpet so its head melting inside.
