When it finally arrives....

.........are the GTROC going be get to see it first? or just possibly a day just for our members?

It would be good to try and arrange something along these lines.

Andy.

Sorry, not really what I ment.

I was meaning when it arrives in the UK, do we get a visit to see it? Do you think Nissan will arrange something for the club?

It's just that not all of us are able to make the trip to Japan.

It would be a nice thought but i can`t see it happening myself, Nissan UK haven`t been exactly helpful to the club in the past.

We are currently in conversation with Nissan UK, Nissan Europe and, of course, Nissan HQ in Japan about what we can do. They are very keen to work with us as they believe we represent a great partnership in promoting the car and we would most certainly want to strengthen our ties with Nissan. So it's good all round.

In addition we have been in discussion with the yet to be announced dealers about doing something a bit special as part of the launch. It's not confirmed yet because the dealerships have not been announced but matters are progressing well.

I am not a fan of putting money down when I've not seen it in the flesh. Tell them some of us want to see it first.

I'd bet the car will likely be seen before October. Does anyone on the forum actually have a literal view as to the car?

In other words, has anyone here already seen the car, uncamoed, uncloaked?

Steve.

Yes check out the Nissan GTR forum area. There are loads of pictures there from Goodwood and an interview plus Youtube: YouTube - Nissan GTR 2008 at Goodwood

But without the vinyl shielding you will have to wait until 29 October

How can places like Middlehurst start taking orders already for a car that has no price ,no spec , no UK release date and no info on wether there will be more than one model for sale .Seems like a load of hype .

there is an estimated price
there is a general understanding of the spec
the release date is pretty much confirmed
there are three models confirmed

I guess a lot of people are taking it on trust, just like any other significant car launch
