i think you need to update your information.
The record for a Stock Bottom end 2JZ-GTE is 1017whp. And there are many out there over 800whp
i have a stock bottom end Supra and the most that iīve been to is 650whp last summer. I will be pushing about 800-850whp next summer on the stock bottom end
Even the NA 2JZ-GE has been boosted over 600whp
i canīt really say which is the better engine though since iīve only delt with the 2JZ-GTE and i donīt know the numers which the RB26DETT has achieved
but here are some facts about a few supras
Boostlogic/PM Performance 6-Speed Supra, 3.4 ltr stroker , GT55-91 has dynoed about 1533whp and best 1/4 mile time on lower boost was 8.75@165.5mph with a sub 1.4 60ft with a Stock gearbox, stock rearend, stock axles. 3600+lbs
