I hate Alonso!

Lewis Hamilton is clearly a very special driver, I cant believe anyone can deny it. I know he gets tons of media coverage, but he is extremely good. I have been watching formula one for over 20 years and you can tell when someone has that 'something' and Lewis clearly has 'it' unlike Alonso, Raikonen and Massa I think that Hamilton has a natural talent thats very rare.

Damon Hill wasn't a patch on Mansell, Senna, Prost, Schumacher or a number of others, including some in today's grid. Hill barely had the edge on Schumacher when Schumacher was stuck in 5th at Barcelona!

Hamilton's driving has calmed down to a quick but not-so-inspiring pace and style. The first few races he was chucking about a very tail driven car but I reckon that th pressure is starting to show with him going more for 'the finish' than the win.

I can't stand Alonso either but his move at the weekend was fine as far as I saw. The guy on the inside owns the line if he is at least level with the guy on the outside. I used to race karts and if you tried to complain about someone running up to the kerb while you were trying to run around the outside of them they would have laughed at you! I can also confirm what Highside said about JB!

alonso's move was fair this weekend, although a bit unfair-ish...no unnececary...hmm i dont know, both are fighting for the title after all...

i'd say it was a perfect move, he had to get ground on his team mate. if he done it to another car it was fine also.


but it wasnt neccecary to use so much of the track and forcing lewis off, if i can put it like that.

I have to say yes he is a tallented driver and is doing a good job, but as a person he is a prick!!! Very 2 faced, a sheep in a wolfs clothing!

AJ I have been watching F1 since early 80s, yes he is doing a great job, one must not forget he is in the best car on the grid and is better prepared than any other rookie interms of over 5000 hours in a very high tech simulator.

Jacques and Damon were the only other recent 2 driver who who made their debuts is the best car, Damon won 3 races and often beating Prost during 1993 and JV almost winning the title in 1996 winning 4 races...

So lets not get too carried away and start to kiss his ass. I dont blame the British for doing so as he is the best hope of a British driver winning the WC in 11 yrs.

But if he was in a Williams or a Renault he would be doing just as good as Kovi or Rosberg!

Adey, have you got access to information that the rest of us don`t?
Your posts would suggest you know him personally or have had first hand experience of Hamitons behaviour? If not, then i am a little confused because when interviewed etc Hamilton has been nothing but a proper gent and kept his dignity throughout, letting his driving do the talking.
If you are just guessing and making off the cuff remarks because you are not a fan of his then it just sounds like sour grapes to me due to the fact that he is leading the championship.
Either back up your claims to all of this two faced, sheep in wolfs clothing etc or have the dignity to acknowledge he is having a fantastic first year. We all know he is in a good car but to suggest its any better than Alonso`s is verging on paranoia and nothing more than spreading conspiracy theories.

On a neutral standpoint, i have said many a time that it has an awful lot to do with the cars they drive . Kimi was fantastic in his rookie season also and now look whats happened. Don`t think he has lost the talent, just hasn`t the tools.

I look beyond the surface, hamiltons comes across as a sheep on tv all smiles and calm, but he also has a wolf side to him. Look at all the bust ups he caused, Monaco, Hungry and you say alonso whinges, well look what Hamilton has been doing.. people fail to see that, I guess they are blinded by the fact he is British... people seem to think its acceptable.

Alonso is only getting bad treatment because he is a Spaniard in a British team against a British driver.

The same happend to Schumacher when he was battling with Hill, the british demonised and bashed him everytime!

Oh, and same with Senna when he was fighting with Mansell....

Fact remains, Alonso is a better driver, worthy of his 2 times WC, by merit, sure MS had a less of a car in 05, and had reliabiloity issues in 06, but Alonso drove races with out many mistakes, he was consistent and always on the pace.

Firstly, Alonso TRIED to BLACMAIL his team! Seriously, FFS, that is one of the lowest things an F1 driver could do!

Secondly, Schumacher did deserve the Brittish press to bash him, he did "take out" Damon Hill to win the Championship in 1994.

FFS Alonso has been isolated and screwed over by Mclaren, in an act of desperation and anger he told Dennis about the emails, which he later retracted. Oh dont tell me, LH is a saint and look at his antics at Hungry where he was heard to be swearing at the man who made him and sponsored him for many years! I know they tried to down play it, trying to make LH look like a gent... but I dont buy it.

I guess we will always disagree on this... but lets wait for the end of the season and see who wins!!
