when i spoke to chris the sales rep, he thinks between 55k to 70k depends on model and spec,
he also thinks nissan is going to do the same as mitsubshi, and do a deal so no grey imports can be brung in as with the new evo10. so will hold its price well, even go up on the 1st ones. hopfully see one in the flesh soon as middlehursts get theres, as only 2 mins away from them. |

If Nissan aren't going to back it up with a warranty and nationwide dealer support then it's going to do pretty poorly imo.
Times have moved on, whereas the R34 GT-R represented great bang for buck (if you could get past badge snobbery) the new one is going to be fighting with the likes of Porsche, who know how to provide aftersales commensurate with the value of their cars. |

mitsubishi, went to court in japan, to protect its dealerships from loseing money through the grey import market, for the new evo10,
they settlrd with an out of court deal with importers not to import any evo 10 for 5 years. nissan will do the same, after all you would be p155ed if you just spent 50 to 60k on a car from an autharised dealer, just to see one up for say 45 in an importers. Just protecting there investment in developing a car, and with the public wanting so much. the r34 gtr has had a good price kept on it , but latley the have been comeing down at a fare rate of knots latley, due to importers bringing them in now. You only have to look at the for sale section, to see how much cars have lost value. from r34gtrs to r32gtrs. no mater of condition. Sorry state of affairs , but thats why it will be done. I know middlehursts are selling the new gtr, but dont know if any other nissan dealers will be selling them, upto now only middlehursts will be selling them. but what do i know, its only what i have read, in autocar magazines, plus taking to middlehursts. |

Erm... I may have been misunderstood... I dont like Porsches... never have. The amount of times I have been over to Porsche in Hatfield and I am sorry they just dont do anything for me. Friend took me for a ride in his 997 C4S... sounded great, wasnt worth 75 grand... I just dont get them and I think I remember Cem saying you dont really get them until you have one.
If I could let myself spend 70 on a car, it wouldnt be on a Nissan GTR. |
