Production cars with the highest output per liter/cylinder - N/A & forced induction!!

Please contribute to the thread in a professional manner . . . some simple rules . .:

1) Don't post crap, like my Ibiza has what ever . .it's simply crap!
2) copy the list of the people that have posted before you. Please fill out the list like I did in my first post.(maker/car/engine/power/engine code/extras).
3) Please ad classify your entries under the categories of the previous posters. Like grouping all engines together that have the same class of engines, . .like I did . .

Let's see if we can get all the existing cars in a list.

my entires:

Nissan Puslar N15 VZ-RN1 . . . . 1.6 4cyl.N/A . . 200HP . . . SR16VE-N1
Honda Civic EK9 Type-R . . . . . 1.6 4cyl.N/A . . 190HP . . . B16B
Honda S2000 . . . . . . . . . . . . 2.0 4cyl.N/A . . 250HP . . . F20C
BMW M3 E46 . . . . . . . . . . . . .3.2 S6cyl.N/A . .343HP . . . S54B32

geez if your going to get pedantic, why have you not given the bhp per litre as your subject title suggests?

and considering how you want everything normalised, how are you going to compare those power measurements at the wheel with those of at the crank or even output shaft??

In any case i would be looking at motorcycle engines for those of greatest bhp / ltr of swept volume, or are you including squish volume too??

I'd be looking at rotary, 2-stroke or gas turbine engines.

Did I tell you my Ibiza has a gas turbine engine?

. . . my point is to just post all cars that have in their engine category the highest or one of the highest outputs. Like the Pulsar N1 has the worlds most powerfull 1.6liter 4 stroke N/A engine, even if it is in its car class nowhere the fastest.
I will ad one more to the list as you guys don't seem to understand how it works . .
By the way if we have a big list , well researched , we can refer to it in further threads and debates, . .

Nissan Puslar N15 VZ-RN1 . . . . 1.6 4cyl.N/A . . 200HP . . . SR16VE-N1

N/A

The Honda V-tec units are about as good as you will get for reliable bhp per litre without resorting to forced induction or motorsport technology.

The SR16VE-N1 made by Nissan was a limited Autech-tuned unit with only 500 ever made for production there have been cases where this engine was making slightly over the 200bhp mark.

All-in-all, 125bhp/litre is about the best you will get from current naturally aspirated production engines in car form.

There are production bike engines pushing the boundaries to 150bhp/litre. The engines used in the Hayabusa and ZX14 are known to produce around 200bhp using 1400cc.

Forced Induction

Mitsubishi EVO FQ-400..........2.0 4cyl..........405HP..........4G63..........[202bhp/litre]

To put this into perspective:

RUF RT12 ..........3.7 6cyl..........641HP..........[173bhp/litre]
Koenigsegg CCX..........4.7 8cyl..........806HP ..........[171bhp/litre]
Bugatti Veyron..........8.0 16cyl..........c1000HP..........[125bhp/litre]

920/4 = 230bhp/l - which sounds more like it
