About the warranty card you personally told me you couldn`t find it and or you had thrown it away.

On a personal note I really did do my best to get you another unit and its uncalled for the colorful e mail you have sent me your forums threats etc

Todd
You silly berk, it's just a bloody PCB! What I was looking for was an easy fix, blown component etc. If I can perform a battle damage repair on an aircraft and have it ready for another mission within very tight time constraints, which possibly saves lives (Or wastes them, depends on if your wearing a rag on your head or not! ) then I think I'm pretty well qualified to open the bloody thing up on the off chance a quick repair can be carried out.

And on a personnel note I think the colourful email was very called for seeing as you are one of the most ignorant little shits I have ever had the misfortune to deal with!

Did your best?

Absolute Bollocks!

If you can offer a price match service you will have my business and Im sure you will get a lot of other people buy from you on a regular basis!! I buy a fair few things from Nengun so it would be nice!

Maybe you should change shipping companies, if they can send items at their quoted price inc delivery (EMS) then its should be the same or very similar cost wise for you.

Sorry but I agree with T.F.S. if you have opened it up then you have effectively invalidated any warranty implied (which is with Defi not Nengun anyway). Im not knocking your ability to fix electronic devices at all but thats not the point, if Defi can see it has been opened (e.g. security seal) then why should they honour any warranty?

TBH I think you are lucky Nengun even offered to take it back as you usually do not get a warranty at all if something has been has been imported, or thats how it works to my knowledge as the warranty is usually only valid for the country of origin.

If I import something from Japan I work on the basis that I will not get a warranty & weigh up the pro's & con's based on that.

Not having a dig at all but just trying to show the other side of the story, im sure you are frustrated I would be in your situation. I know I would have been sorely tempted to open it up just to check for anything obvious

Bottom line you should expect a warranty to be voided the moment you take it apart - sparky or not. I think Nengun are well within their rights to refuse warranty replacement if they are unable to obtain it themselves from Defi.

This matter looks like it has run its course on the forum, so it's being locked.
