One small thing i would be worried about though is how low that oil pan is, it will be very close to the ground wont it for street work?
Thats a very good point! gotta see how low it is indeed, i am getting an HKS Kansai front diffuser which could protect it, that being, if it fits now with the extended sump.

ill see if i can persuade Rick to grab a pic showing how level it is to the rest of the car

Thanks everyone, for the positive words!

more pics and new bits.

So, just like the perfect Japanese train system the icing bits came in today as they were meant to, and some other bits got put on the car today.

Nice Greddy Oil cooler installed.

Pipes were already polished too!

(Icing time)

Got tired of looking at those valve covers, so we had some painted,

Then i figured...hey, hmm lets do the surge tank too, would look shweet! (yes i said sshhhweeet)

Im not a fan of polished metals, unless the car is from the 70s another reason why im wondering about those pipes hmmmm...

Its coming along, and its getting really damn fun!

With regards to the oil pan, i think we will have to wait till the front bumper is on and the cars suspension is adjusted etc to how i want it, before i can get a proper idea of how it will look, IF it is too low, i think ill just get a custom aluminum sump plat/diffuser made up.

I wouldn't be too concerned about the oil pan, mine sits 3 inches above the ground, and it's never hit a thing (22,000kms and counting)....

By the way, where will this car eventually end up country wise ????

SUPER MEGA UPDATE! 01/20/08

Wow..just...WOW...

Got some great news today. Engine was finished, and here are the results of what have to be the most eventful few weeks ive had, i only wished i could have actually been there when they were working but this is as close as i can get

Let the pictures do the talking.

Notice the Polished Greddy fuel rail, the lettering and lines were left blue just as a little icing. Sugino-sans idea, the man is brilliant.

Gotta say this had blown me away the attention to detail and work is amazing. Only thing left to do is the hose work, i wanted to do SOMETHING myself so i figured once the car is delivered i would swap the hoses for black so at least i can say i did that

And to my great surprise Rick had compiled a short montage movie of the build for me, including short video at the end!

Video to follow..
