Question S15 trial balloon

Not 100% sure what my daughter wants to do with this car, but looking at options.

She bought it in April of this year and has used it for commuting. She's added 10,000 km to bring the meter to 80,000 km.

It's a 1999 white Sylvia S15 2.0L normally aspirated (blue S badge) with black interior. The car is totally standard except for a massive stainless single exhaust system, which gives it a bit of a rumble.

We can keep it at home in Japan, send it to the UK for her to use there, or sell it.

Any interest? Pricewise we'd be looking for about 6,000, including shipping and tax?

I presume it's a manual? does it have that wicked cool wing with the triangular 3rd brake light?

The SR20DE in my personal experience, can take a lot of abuse. I bought it new, broke it in by doing my best to break the car, I ran it on the cheapest gas possible (87 octane, sometimes 85 - by US measure), drove it to redline as much as I could (7500rpm), changed oil when I could be bothered to, about every 30-40,000 miles with the cheapest mineral oil I could buy (mind you, I knew nothing about cars at the time), used it to tow a 1000kg trailer from Boston to San Francisco, ran up more than 300,000 miles on it before I sold her on, and in all that time I had an alternator fail once, and the clutch cable broke twice. I also changed spark plugs once, for "fun".

In owning that car, I often though, boy, what if I had six gears and RWD? Thus, my interest in the S15. It's that engine - I don't know about the SR20DET but the N/A is indestructable.

Yes, it's manual.

No, the wing is a not very convincing lip stuck on the boot/trunk. We were originally looking to get one with the wing you mention.

Oh, just remembered another aftermarket bit: the rear lights are those clear clusters that Wise Sports use on their drift cars.

Sounds like some sort of confessional to me!

You are forgiven for you sins!

Thanks for the bump! Here are some of those long-awaited piccies, BTW. (Just been lazy.)

Those WiseSports rear lights:

and one exhaust pipe!

The car is in Japan and the insurance runs out on Feb 7th, so I have to make some kind of decision on it. My daughter bought it for one million JPY in April, and it was a very, very, good deal then. We had been trying hard to get something exceptional within her budget. I am willing to sell it for 850,000 JPY within Japan; you the potential buyer would be avoiding any fees to a shop and it still has 14 months Shaken/MOT left on it. I've been driving it to work every few days to keep the battery charged and there is nothing wrong with it to my knowledge. In fact it's quite zippy when you put your foot down!

Nice runaround, or project car for someone? It's begging for some little cosmetic upgrades! hahahahaha
