Talking For Those Looking to Buy From Japan!

I would say do it now! With the release there are many new ones up for grabs - tailored with many extra's. Sold my R32 and really missed the drive. So a trip to Tokyo was in order over Christmas and R35 GT-R now purchased and going through de reg!

Was a nice time to spend Christmas in TK and going to the auction to choose from some 30 odd for sale!

Have to say a big thanks to my good friend Ryo and vehicle exporter in Shinjuku (if you're reading this) for being so patient!

Hi Sock,

Yes, the purchase itself was relatiely easy!

Regarding the cost, I'll PM you now. Thou, for others who have PM'd me. The car price was circa £38k - thou cheaper ones are there, I really like the whole package of this.

Hope that helps.

I went for Premium Edition in Super Black.

Well that is very interesting. Thou, mine has some 700km's of spirited driving before heading back so cant be too bad. It's arriving here as a used car.

Where will you get the model report (COC) to allow you to SVA the car, I dont believe you can register it without one

you can do a one off noise and emissions sva test for cars without a model report, but costs about £2500 if i'm not mistaken.

I just bought a 2005 350Z- japan release.. all the buttons on the centre console & display are in japanese.. good thing I could download an English manual online and that most of the stuff is with regards to GPS navigation..

Congrats on the buy Layth, but my question is, are all the buttons on your dash in Japanese? But more importantly, does the multifunction screen display in English seeing it was meant for the japanese market? Or is there some sort of language setting option like you can get on a mobile phone?

Many congrats on the purchase - would love to know all the details as the wait to March 2009 seems way too painful !!!

Also any useful contacts in Japan would help - am planning to fly over in March.

Regards
