Last time I looked into and asked about getting my R33 legal over there it sounded more like a headache than a massive expense. Apparently if you strip the car down to pretty much a parts-bin, then export it to the states and re-assemble it into 1 car again over there, it can be legalised.
The laws may have changed in the last year or so, but that was the cheapest option back then. Do a search through my threads and you should find it. Steve (P.S) - Mook your sig is hilarious ![]() |

yeah we already do that to get them here but even still they arent legal cause you gotta have it DOT approved and that is the hard part just for example, you gotta put striphome in the bumpers, cut out a firewall in the left side to show that you did a conversion you have to get them crash tested so the list goes on and on But if you can do all that then you could baisicly mas produce them LEGALY. But no just cause you get them here dosent mean anything and the title oh forget it thats just a peice of paper showing ownership cause the vin #'s in japan are like 9 numbers and here its like 17 numbers. So?

Have you got any pics of the ones already in? Is it all imports that are like that or just Skylines/Jap cars?

In that case then, I suggest you resort to dirty tricks and find your nearest state governor, and then bribe his ass.
If you're a redneck, then does than mean you want to turn one into a pick-up or something?? That'd be a 1st here ![]() |
