Gauging interest 7,800 miles 33GTR

A friend of mine has a super low milage 33 GTR tucked away in his garage,
Just 7,800miles on the clock!!!

It still smells like new inside!

The story about the car is it started life in Japan in 1995, then was imported into the UK in 1997 with around 5,000 miles on the clock!

The owner which was an overseas student at the time had big power modifications plans for it so instead of registering it he simply stored it & made modifications on it as time went by until the car became 10 years old when it finally didn't have to be SVA'ed to save money I was told?
During this time the owner decided to sell & leave the UK, the new/current owner then changed the colour (foolish I think, but each to their own) to Bayside Blue!
I'm not 100% certain what the original colour was but he said it was Le Mans Blue???
I'm not an expert on the 33 models but if anyone can tell me what to look out for on the numbers/codes under the bonnet then I may be able to find out for sure?
It maybe that it is a proper Le Man's edition?

Anyway I've been told that it's running around 580-650 BHP Single Turbo conversion & even he's not sure exactly what modifications have been done!

All work is believed to be done by Gary @ GT-ART if that helps?

She's an 1995 'M' reg.

Here are a few pics that I took of her while in the garage at night time.
Proper pics will be taken next weekend as it was too late at night to get her out of the garage due to the exhaust is too loud for the ear sensitive neighbours he said!
I'll even get to test drive it too

Sale due to leaving the country as the guy is from Malaysia & has had enough of the UK he said!

It's a little bit dusty under the bonnet & the brake disc look a bit pitted due to being stood for such a long time i reckon (after all it is a 13 years old!)

Take no notice of the ^Brass Bleed valve^, it's only there as the boost controler packed up he told me

The price guide is around £19K HE SAID, NOT ME, SO DO NOT COMMENT A WORD TO ME ABOUT THE PRICE. IT'S NOT MY CAR REMEMBER? but I know he wants to sell by the end of the year when he leaves so i'm sure he will be taking offers on it later on in the year if no one is interested by that time.
Pm me if you are interested & you could be veiwing it this weekend?
Remember he's not in a hurry to sell 'till the end of the year so plan ahead.

Is there any documented evidence of mileage?

Just a heads up, but back in '97 when that was imported, there was no SVA.

All the things you'd use to get an idea of mileage appear to have been replaced (clocks, steering wheel, pedals, gear knob, mats)...

Aftermarket pedals tend to simply bolt-on over the existing ones so wouldn't be too hard to see what the originals look like

I was just going off the pictures; an close inspection of the car would no doubt give many more pointers.

is it just me or does the engine bay not look like a car thats done under 8000 miles??

all the clips etc are rusty so if its been stored all its like under there should look like new??

also the colour change and the SVA think would put me off, could be wrong and if i am i apologies

Take a picture of the VIN plate and I'm sure someone will be able to tell if its a Le Man edition.

Does the car come with all original parts or did the previous owner trow them into the ocean?

Sorry lads, I have no further information to tell you untill he brings the car round to mine this coming sunday, then i will also take more close up pics for your inspections plus I will ask him all the questions posted on here & give you the answers that he tells me.

Only other thing I can think of is if anyone knows Gary from GT-Art personally as he is the man to ask about the spec on this car, but it would be unfair to hassle him if he did not know you personally & would probably bash you on the head for being anoying ...if you know what i mean???

IMPORTANT! IT'S NOT MY CAR SO STOP ASKING STUPID QUESTIONS THINKING THAT IT IS MY CAR PLEASE! Thanks
