I've gone to the dark side...
After years of cursing Essex based idiots in 3 series coupes...I've gone and bought one! It's time for the scorpio to go and if I'm going to get 25-30mpg I want to be able to have some fun! Sky1T's one he had for sale put me in the mood as they are cheap, has a LSD, nigh on 200bhp and it pretty well screwed together!
So 2.2k later and I have this genuine sport chariot parked up. 120k miles doesn't seem to matter to this powertrain. Seats are a a bit aged and the repair work to a light front ding it had at some point isn't perfectly done. But hey, it's 2k...I wasn't looking for perfection Tash was p*ssing herself laughing as she followed me back as I was playing with the DVD player and got the head rest screens going...obviously quite pointless for me but a novelty! (a previous owner had small kids and put them in for this) So, as discussed with snowfiend earlier, I just need to get some more hairgel, remove the indicator stalks, start wearing loafers (without socks) and generally act like a complete bellend ![]()

That's ok..I'll be too busy talking loudly and pompously into my mobile phone to notice
I noticed on the way home...it's got an 'M' gearknob (think they come as standard as sport models have m3 interior bits). So, this means it's definately an M car so I can go out and buy a nice big MPOWER puffa jacket Just took it out for a play to establish it definately has an LSD...jeez...it's got some grip in the dry. I had to be quite brutal coming out of a junction to break traction and then, yup, no inside wheel spin..just lots of steering wheel twirling to keep up with the back end

Had a leaving do tonight in london and tash voluntered to drive as long as she could take the new toy. Definately better on fuel than the scorpio/saab...but...as she was driving it round central london....we got to experience the complete hatred for a 3 series owner. No-one likes letting you pull out!
Jags, yeah, I am well aware of the restrictive nature of the inlet. I doubt it's going to be too long before the BBTB and inlet are sorted. On the one hand I think, no, it;s a cheap and cheerful runaround..leave as be..but then...it would be rude not to. I was underneath the car with a torch and was half hoping the exhaust was about to fall off..bugger...lol...it looks in fine condition. Tis far to refined at the moment SkyIT...I saw this other bimmer in the background of one of your photos...looks interesting?

I think what you have done is gay! So it would be rather pink-side . . . PS: Great car for every day use, drove one for a month, clean customer car, not a fan of the maker at all, but it`s worth to get a nice suspension and wider wheels for some grip action . . . |
