OK, we all knew it was a lottery, but unfortunately I'm the conclusive proof!
The order book was officially opened on 2 April 2008. Thanks to some great work from my dealer (Nobles) I had my confirmation email at 07:19am that day. Apart from Supracat, this is the earliest confirmation that I'm aware of. My official delivery date has now been confirmed as 18 December 2009.
According to the results of this poll so far, there are no Sat-Nav cars being delivered in either January 2010, February 2010, March 2010 or April 2010, although 3 people have said that they have been told that they are getting their cars "Post-April 2010". It looks like these people have made a mistake or misunderstood the poll, so I have to conclude that I had one of the very first orders, but I've been given one of the very last delivery slots.
When my car arrives in time for Christmas 2009, I'll have been waiting 625 days since the order book opened.
I'm really disappointed.
I wish that I had some doubt about whether I wanted the car so that I could tell Nissan where to stick it.
Unfortunately, I don't. Congratulations to all of you who received dates that you're happy with!
Anyway, I ordered a DMG Black Edition with Sat-Nav.
Look at my sad signature (570 days to go)! It started 57 days ago at "Approximately 520 days to go"! Please say something nice to cheer me up!
