Opinions of the latest R32?
whats everyones opinion of this car?
im curious, as i was possibly thinking about getting one as my everyday run-around, and i think the V6 clio mite just be a little too whacky for an everyday run-around. im obviously talking about the Golf R32 ![]() |

my mate had one, he races superbikes
and my toyota mr-s dumped on it from a great height in a straight line, leaves it for dead on the twisties and returns 40 mpg to the golf's 20 engine sounds nice but doesn't produce the goods- they're heavy german barges, imho |

Owned one for a couple of months now and this time of year with the 4wd find it's great fun I've got the DSG box which is probably one of the best autos available great noise from the V6 but the downside is the more you hear it the quicker the fuel gauge drops (average just over 22mpg) + the high road Tax which I think just went up to £400 in today’s budget.

i finally got one.
and i must say im loving every minute of it!!! only had it 2 weeks but already can tell it loves to guzzle fuel. though you can drive it sensibly and it will return quite high average mpg. acceleration on the thing is awesome....torque all the way through the rev range it seems! and handling is very good. cant say ive raced anyone yet (dont really intend to...not that kind of person), but im sure it won't disappoint. The Recaro seats just make the whole car though! the thing you get with this car is a great drive and performance....but in complete luxury as well! the heated recaro's are extremely comfortable. and that V6 just sings all day long! causes the fuel to drop quick...but well worth it to hear that sound! |
