Thought I would share some pictures of my door speaker upgrade

Just thought i would post some pictures of my speaker upgrades. started on the doors the first of the week, but a cold has kept me inside until today. i'm installing in the doors the Kenwood KFC-P707 set-up. I was able to reuse the factory mounts with the exception of the two little nipples which broke off quite easily, even reused the factory screws. I didn't want to cut holes for the tweeter or use double sided tape, might upgrade later, so I just wedged it in the door slots. doesn't look to bad. sounds much better than the factory stuff. will be installing some 6X9s later. haven't made up my mind which sub i would like to get to replace the set i had, which has melted. would like to know what others have done, especially with the trunk.
thanks
JP

I run a set of Genesis A16`s in the front with the tweeters in the wing mirror cover. For my boot i have single 10" Diamond Audio M5 sub. These are custom fitted and covered and sound superb.

Do away with the plastic mounts for the speakers if you want the best from them and fit some MDF mounts....It does make a difference..And get some sound deadening fitted. I just about my full car done...

i followed some advice

the tool i was using to make the hole slipped and made some bad scratches on the drivers door. anyone know how to blend them in, make go away, or do i need new door covers? thanks for the help guys, it does look better this way.
i'm replacing my melted Kenwoods with some Blaupunkt 10s, RMS up to 1,000. should be a blast.
JP
