Like I said, I had the chance to drive on a Spoon Civic TypeR and Spoon S2000, and thought Spoon products are basicly rebadged Mugen stuff, the engines rev up to 10000rpms like thunder, the sound of a well forged manifold and conecting exhaust is just like opera.
Thought the only thing that makes me really scared about the S2000 is the fact that the car doesn`t produce enough downforce in high speeds, it gets very unstable over 120kph, might be because of the weight of the car, but some serious footwork, is defo, something I would consider at first on an S2000 , instead of giving it more power.

Nobody owned a 350Z Roadster??
As for the s2000 (i know that you know this), the S2000 wasnt bulit for speed. though made practically on the track and next to the NSX the chassis was bulit for corning speeds. the cornoring abilities and the chassis are simply amazing for what the car does at the track. The mix of a nearly mid engine set-up, suspenion, weight distrubution is great. thats the reason why it keeps up with some cars like mark said below and even surpass them.
but the Amuse S looks sexy

I have had 2 x S2000's.

They are bloody great and the claimed lack of power doesn't matter a jot on a race track. You would be amazed what they will keep up with. More importantly, i've owned lots of scoobs and an Evo 8, and this is far more exciting. I think the Amuse one has several hundred bhp though!

The problem lies in day to day driving, where it can take a lot of effort to get it on the move.

I may supercharge this one if I decide against a 34 GTR. Over 300 bhp and things get interesting

I put a few tweaks on mine

Never really been a fan of the Z for some reason.
Sweet S by the way

design wise the S2000 is the prettier car by a long chalk.

chasis wise, both cars are equally entertaining on B-roads.

engine wise, the 350z is the hands down winner for me. There simply is no, i repeat, NO replacement for displacement and natural thump-in-the-back torque.

ok so few points to clear up, the 'auto' option on 350z's were all imports, uk spec cars were always manual. As far as oversteer which someone said earlier, if anything the car understeers a bit but mine has been corrected by the nismo arms. I track mine fairly regularly and it often passes the local audi tt's, M3's and s2000 all the time.

Had both roadster and coupe, coupe is good for the noise but is heavier and you do notice it. Both amuse versions look good but have to say that from personal experience the z is a better car.

all the S2000 needs is a little more room inside for bigger drivers (people over 6 feet) oh and bigger wheel wells for bigger tires.

350z needs less weight, turbos, better gear box.

i'd go with the 350z.
reasons:
im 6'4
more comfortable
has much more power potential.
