GT-SS all the way.
Most people i have spoken to have said that the GT-SS turbos are the best ones marketed for fast road application, yes they will be eaten by a 2530'd car on track but on the short and winding roads in our country the quicker spooling GT-SS's will be king!
It isnt as if they dont produce decent power too. Rated to 550fhp they arent exactly poor turbos. Yes there are bigger ones but you need to ask for what application.
Every engine will respond differently to different turbos. technically there is no generic turbo that is the 'best' for street use. It depends on your location, driving style and spec of engine.
For me i felt that the GT-SS was more appropriate.
