I have owned a supra 6 spd for approx 3 yrs. It started life as twin turbos when i got it but ended up with a hks to4r .96 a/r. I made just over 580 bhp @1.4bar boost on stock internals and ran it hard.
I will say that i have seen a few rb26 engines in the past and own a r33 gtr currently and as a comparison both are good with the 2jz slightly ahead.
2 jz has tons of low down torque compared to the rb26 which is happiest at higher revs.
2jz is the best for a road car with all that torque and rb26 best for what it was intended for racing.
Both are just as good as each other but the fact is they were both designed for completely different purpose's, one a fast road engine and the other a race engine.
Conclusion.....on the road a 2jz and on track a rb26.....just my 2 cents.
