Holden Coupe 60
What has a 6 Litre V8 and maybe a R35 competitor.
New Holden Coupe 60.... ( Probably released as "Monaro" ) Holden Coupe 60 Pretty cool from the Aussies. Check out the Motec Dash. No floppy paddle shift here. ![]() Last edited by REXtreme; 29th February 2008 at 04:40 PM. |

I like the Front of this Coupe 60.
And the way the splitter fits with the vents at the front. OPel / vauhaul / Holden / Pontiac generic chassis. Whoever designed that ford ... No... Whoever Approved that design of the ford... Both should be beaten with a big stick! But I guess it keeps the UGLY ford GT tradition. WHAT a lardy butt's hole. HSV GTS-R looks OK except the bonnet. WTF is it with plastic? |

That is sooo nice. Wouldnt have one over an R35 but alongside it
I never been a Holden fan before the VE Commodore range came out 18 months back, pretty much because they are Vauxhalls and i hate Vauxhalls! But that is a beauty ![]() |

It's harder for us in NZ and Aussie to get excited about Holden stuff as they're rep mobiles over here........ see heaps everyday so you get a little bit numb to them, but bang for buck you get a hell of a lot of car for your money.
Love that concept too........very cool looking. |

Ittll (wtf) iT 'LL be a cold day in hell when a holden is even mentioned in the same sentence as a GTR.
Unless its to say total lack of traction and a pile of crap ...... They changed the Au touring car series into V8 Supercar racing, theres nothing "supercarish" about them, after they got asswhipped by the GTR's yrs ago. Even the late model 4wd system is a blatent ripoff of the nissan setup. In NZ we all love to hate ozzies so it has always been rather odd to me how we adopt the Holden Vs Ford racing , They are both taxi's, and a far more appropriate term for the series would be Taxi Racing ...not V8 Supercars...... Also , no one seems to have noticed that its a 2 car series ....in fact very close to a 1 class series and no one seems to give a dam about mini racing , so its beyond me why anyone caould become so passionate abot 4 door taxi racing .... They even had to change the rules when they realised Mitsi may have had a car elligible to race..... Ive always thought of Holdens and Falcons as big heavy piles of crap that dont handle ... ![]() Shrug Prove me wrong Last edited by GT-R Glenn; 1st March 2008 at 03:00 AM. |

As for engine, I dont think that the LS7 will be a long term engine. My guess is that the LS9 will be the engine of choice for future high performance HSV products since the LS9 would be easier/cheaper to do when holden changes over to the LS3. You never know, HSV with its growing international presence might release a true Nissan GTR fighter. The previous HSV 427 like the GTR was designed to take on the Porsche GT3 and turbo. At the time HSV didnt have an international presence and the Australian market couldn't support an expensive project effectively killing in 427 program. |
