Stupid question

Hi all. i tried to use the search but ended up getting something i really didn't look for. maybe i don't know the right way to search or something.

Anyways, this is what i had in mind. i'm now buying and R33 GTS-T and i'd like to know that how straight forward swap is it to convert it running on RB26dett engine? Keeping it as 2WD ofcourse. I no means want to say that the Rb25det is somewhat bad engine or something but the 26 is 26 anyway

much less straight forward than tuning the RB25 to the power level you require.....

Yep i managed to find some threads about it and i'm happy with the answers i got. I just got that weird sound in my head that the 25 ain't even close to the 26 but it seems like people thinks otherwise. atleast some people here. I't s a little shame that all of the available cars are all driven approx 100K-150K km's and that seems quite a lot to me. That's because i'm looking forward to get around 300-350 rwhp out of it.

What's the difference between the series 1 and 2 gts-t's? is there something that makes other alot better than the other, or is it just the bodystyling?

Before you put a lot of power in a Gts sort out the brakes, handling and especially the grip, the Gts is short on grip, hence the 4 wheel drive Gtr with more powerfull engine!

if all you are looking to get is 350 then I wouldn't even think about the rb26!

downpipe, de-cat, exhuast, intake, ECU, fuel pump, z32 AFM, maybe injectors, clutch and you are right in the ball park.

make sure you use good rubber all round and grip won't be to much of an issue.

s1 to s2 GTSt had slight differences in the body styling and a revision to the ingition amp, coilpacks and CAS I think.

Ok would the Power FC be an option on this one? i suppose the Z32 afm won't work on the std system anyway. I have some experience on the Apexi SAFC 2 but that won't help much with the ignition timing.

PowerFC is probably easiest as the software is available to map it yourself - if you know how!
