Yup, youre right. But I think the
perception, certainly with me, is that they seem to be 'getting away with it'. I know thats a bit vague but upon reflection its probably the media who deserve the biggest criticism for allowing these idiots airtime/press coverage and trying to portray their drug taking antics with a certain amount of 'romanticism'.
I HATE THE BRITISH MEDIA...
They lost all respect and credibility (with me at least) for their woeful coverage of the 777 crash at Heathrow. As an air traffic controller, pilot and general aviation enthusiast I reckon that almost everything they said was utter tosh. Their 'experts' knew less than I did and their usual sensationalist and anti-aviation stance was clearly evident even from the likes of BBC24 and Sky News. Bit off topic there but I was attempting to show the stupidity and misplaced ideology of the UK media. Unfortunately though it seems that when they get their teeth into something, like whinehouse and docherty, and put them on some sort of misguided pedestal, they rarely let go.
Might sound harsh but in MY world, there would be forced detox for any druggies. Plain and simple...lock them up for a month or two, give them some water and grub and let them get over it. Bleedin' muppets
