one of the worst articles I've read in recent memory. I've never been so confused in my life....sure the GT-R won, but that's about all I got out of it. As foggy as a Scotland morn

Look at the sector times, and tell me the TT wasnt drifting in the first two turns like I said he was in the video. Sector times much slower than all three including an M3? LOL. Ok.

you do have a point.

heavychevy, perhaps you could explain what it is you're trying to get at on this forum? cos to be honest, i'm totally lost as to what you're all about. if you're here to bash the GT-R vs other cars and discredit car magainze reports on the car, then your time would be better suited to writing letters to those magazines and making your point there. just my opinion.

dude, do you not think it would have made a much more interesting story if the Porsche HAD beaten the GTR.

I genuinely feel that each tester who gets thier hands on this car are desperate for it to fail to meet the hype, and genuinly cannot wait to be the first magazine to "expose" the GTR.

but it hasn't happened yet.

mook

p.s. lots of magazines will use "drift shots" for the photo's. rarely will pictures be for a hot lap.

People who have owned earlier versions (996TT) have stated that would probably be fairly accurate of all 911s - the Porsche was always a bit crappy on entry but very good on exit. The top speed also shows that the Porsche was making its time more from straight line speed than the GT-R, with the extra power that a differing exhaust and tune is getting already in Japan I reckon for the £3K extra and making the traction light flicker you could knock another second easy off the GT-R time. I can't wait to see the first ones racing in the USA, several have already been purchased for that reason .

The thing that is shocking about that article is that he never even pushed the GT-R, what would it be capable of if the owner watching restriction was removed.

To be honest the M3 probably came out best on that review as an overall package if out-right performance is not your most important factor.

and where exactly are you reading these sector times?

Have you ever looked at telemetry in your life before? You clearly are full of bluff, go back to "race skool"
