For PURE respons I would definately go for the T04Z at (650bhp).
But that is only if you would rarely/never use the extra power from the T51R (800hp). I think the driveability is not that bad with a T51R KAI on a RB30, but that is always a personal preferance. The T51R KAI will definately have the car going around 4500RPM. The T04Z will be more around 4000RPM. It all depends how often you will use the extra power against the better response from the T04Z.
In the end I would take the T51R KAI

What will the car be used for mainly? Small street racer--> T04Z OR Highway racer --> T51R
