That's why I care about boost threshold. And it's also why I'm not alone.
I believe that story for sure. I think if you would rather stay in one gear, you should buy an automatic luxury car. The point of a manual transmission sports car is to shift gears. It doesn't get tedious. It's part of the driving experience. I drive sports cars because I like to drive a car hard. I head out into the mountains with twists and turns and elevation changes and speeds between 30 and 100+mph. I like to shift. I like to rev-match. I like to heel-toe. I don't like to putter around in fifth gear on a windy road.

I plan modifications based on what I want the car to do when driving in THAT environment, not puttering around city streets in traffic.

If you want a car with plenty of low-end power that you don't have to shift to have fun with, you should buy a sporty luxobarge with automatic transmission and a V8.

You didn't. You bought a sports car with an engine with great potential. Don't handicap it. Put 2530's on it. Shift the f*cking gears.
