If you're using an RB30 you'll definately want the 1.0 housing I would have thought. I had the 0.96 housing on an RB28 and it was too small resulting in compressor surge problems. That's fine for an RB26, but on a larger capacity I would go the next size up.
I would be surprised if you saw more than 650bhp with the 0.96 housing, at sensible EGT's anyway, and with the larger housing you'd probably see 680-700 maybe. What are you revving upto?

ps. Mine gave 580 at the hubs with a T04Z (0.96) on an RB28, pump gas, 1.6 boost iirc, 507lbs/ft on a dynapack. It's less than I wanted and wouldn't give anymore. It also had compressor surge issues when it was retuned for higher power. Basically the cams were being overwhelmed with boost before they'd fully opened (only in 6th gear). V-cam would have helped this I'm sure, but ultimately, I'd have gone for the larger housing which would have run cooler EGT's. And I was considering a T51 Kai BB
