mitsibushi evo's hp ?

what sort of horse power can evo's reliably make ?

just there are a couple of them on the island where i live and they are supposed to be making 650hp and 700hp respectivley
i thought that 400 was the standard highest hp available is the model the fq 400
although the two evo's are not this model i am unsure of the exact model although they are 2-3 years old
so they will have to be highly modified to get 700hp from a 2 litre 4 cylinder engine i.e forged engine ...injectors fuel pump.. ecu.. exhaust ..bigger turbo etc...
what size injectors would they need for this sort of power (i can then ask then what they are using ) to find out if they can possibly make anywhere near this hp
i haven't run against them ...although i should be somewhere around 550hp-600hp
you see here they will race the 400m for anything between 1000-4000 euro
i took a highly modified 2005 subaru sti last night ......i was suprised how easily i had him from the set off from the lights ..and i didn't give it more than 2000rpm on the start off as i didn't want to put to much strain on the clutch we only went for around a kilometre but i went round the speedo and he was never closer than 75 meters or so and the (private ) road was not exactily straight

1000/5 = 200
200*4=800
800/100*80 = 640 bhp @ 80% flow of injector.

1000 = CC of injector
/5 i forgot (but you have to do this)
*4 = amount of cylinders
then take 80% of that to see what they're running at 80% injector flow (what most people run)

How long is a piece of string? Look at the ten of the best times, money is everything.
You will not have serious fun in an evo though, too many fancy diffs etc to fling it about. Standard cars are sh1t, evo 9 with the mivec head will be 400 bhp on possibly only a little more than stage 1 and remap.

having had both an r33 and evo 5 with stage 1 tune on both, I'd say the evo is just as much fun.

people say exactly the same about a gtr though. put an evo on a b road and a similar spec gtr wouldn't see it for dust. put the gtr on a sweping a road and the evo would never catch the gtr.

fun wise I'd sy the evo cuts it because sweeping A roads are never as good as a nice twisty b road.

it is not about best or fastest both cars are full of electronics, and when you are driving either of them IMO you don't feel the technology interferring it just enhances the fun and my evo 5 used to go rounds corners where I thought I was about to die horribly, it would just grip and go.

both cars are truly fantastic. the only gripe I have with the evo is reliability mine cost a fortune in diffs clutches etc...

Agreed. I had an Evo 6 (near as 400) and it was by far the best car on a twisty road, the grip even at that level was astonishing. The GTR couldn't match its agility, The GTR I have now will however completely rip it apart in a straight line.
