Tyre Pressure Monitoring System
It seems a lot of people are concerned that the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System may prove to be a pain, with reports of sensor lights staying on after changing wheels, and reinflating tyres.
However, during a tyre swap recently, the RC Developments R35 GTR did not experience any problems.
All 4 wheels were removed with the ignition off, tyres were removed, and replaced with new tyres. In fact, due to the incompetence of the tyre fitter at the track, he managed to slightly damage one of the sensor's body (no damage to electrics inside), repaired with silicone however. All 4 wheels were then returned to the car, still with ignition off (I believe key was left in the car), and replaced. Ignition started and no sensor lights coming on whatsoever, despite the abuse of track side tyre fitting and damage to the sensor...
So we're initially lead to believe that maybe the TPMS should prove less problematic for owners than first believed, with the scare that any Sensor Lights would have to be reset by Nissan Dealership...
