I researched them for a while when I was looking for a turbo for my RB25, I was split between an HX35 and a GT30R but I ended up going the GT direction - more due to space constraints than anything else. Bullseye Power used to sell Holset turbos with custom housing to suit smaller displacement motors, not sure if they still do?

If only it cost twice what the version without the HKS badge cost, and had the twin scroll housing that helps spool removed and replaced it with a posh but pointless v-band turbine inlet, itd be the BEST TURBO EVER!

brilliant!!!

something essentially cool about putting a turbo on your performance car that has "SCANIA" written on the side of it!!

"nah mate, it's just an old truck engine..."

then blow 'em away!!

Thats bizzare you mentioned one of them, esp a CAT one, as look what i got at home, lol...

Freakishly its got a relativley tiny .86 exhaust housing too, tho its still a mental power T6 frame turbo, lol.

Thats a T04E next to it by the way

Funny how some of the industrial turbos have HUGE frames but tiny compressors, look at how small the inducer to that compressor is relative to teh antisurge ring haha. No wonder it doesn't actually need that big a turbine housing to do the job. I have a Garrett GT40 as well, which still monsters a Nissan T3 turbo (of a single turbo VG30) compressor cover here compared to it. OK, getting off topic but I as most have a soft spot for big turbos haha
