It is with a heavy heart that I write this post. I don't want to sell my beautiful '32, but due to my emigration plans being accelerated (I have to finance some architects drawings, planning, build works before I can leave the UK), it seems that I need to. That said, I'm in no desperate rush to sell her, so I won't entertain silly offers; so don't bother making any
![]() The car is a 1991 (October) gunmetal R32 GTR with 77611 km on the odometer. Around 12000 of this was done in miles by the previous owner (I removed the converter when I bought her), so it equates to ~53000 miles. I cannot vouch for the authenticity of this reading, as the original clocks have more than likely been substituted for the 320km items that are currently fitted. Can anyone really guarantee the mileage on a 16½ year-old grey-imported car anyway? Suffice to say, the car is in exceptional condition for her age. The tax runs out at the end of April, but I'll put another 6 months on her if I still have her by then. The MOT is valid until the 18th June, and again, I'll refresh this if the need arises or if a buyer requires it. The specification is as follows. Some of this was fitted in Japan, some by the previous owner, some by me. Engine: HKS cams (unknown spec) HKS Super Power Flow filters HKS hard pipe kit HKS "Silent HiPower" exhaust (modified, single box, not so silent) 3 De-Cat pipe Nismo downpipe N1 oil pump N1 turbos Blitz intercooler Adjustable fuel pressure regulator Denso 660cc injectors ARC radiator RB25 AFMs Apexi AVC-R Apexi Power FC & Commander Splitfire coil packs NGK 8 plugs Transmission: Nismo twin-plate clutch Skylab TSC torque controller 2WD switch Suspension & Steering: Nismo front strut brace Standard rear strut brace Tein Flex coilovers (height, spring and damping adjustable) Interior, Security & ICE: Toad Ai606 Cat 1 alarm HKS fuel pressure gauge HKS EGT gauge (sensor in manifold, rear cylinder) VEMS wideband / EGT gauge (EGT probe not connected, but supplied) Mines boost gauge (1.6 bar) in standard cluster Razo shift knob Audiovox front components Alpine rear components Alpine 10 Subs behind seat Auto-folding door mirrors! Exterior Styling: Starcorp Racing 9.5x18 Impuls 265x35x18 Goodyear Eagle F1s 25mm H&R bolt-on spacers Carbon N1 style bonnet lip Nismo intercooler vents Nismo side skirts Nismo rear spats Tinted rear window & quarters JUN inspired front grill, R34 grill badge D-Speed smoked indicators LED front indicators Extended front lip (Seat Leon Cupra R) A careful read through the above will bring you to realise that no small amount of money has been spent on this car over the last few years. I've changed the oil twice since I've had her, and I've only done 3500 miles. She's been well cared for in all regards. Bodywork is in all-round excellent condition, save for a few minor things that I'll detail at the end. In February, I made the trip to Perfect Touch and entrusted Rob with my pride & joy. I can say that he did a sterling job, making the car more drivable, more powerful and cheaper to run, all in one hit. She made 535.9 bhp and 400.1 ft lbs of torque running on 95 RON normal unleaded fuel (Super unleaded fuel is hard to get in my area). A future owner could get Rob to do a few tweaks to the map so she'd run on Super and I'm sure there's another 40-odd bhp in there to be released. Then she's a nigh-on 600bhp car. Rob commented at the time that the engine sounded sweet as hell through the detcans with no untoward noises at all (as I'm sure he'd be more than happy to confirm if asked). Oil pressure on cold start is a very respectable 7-8 bar. This drops to 3 bar on hot idle. Hot cruise is around 4-5 bar. Everything electrical works on the car and the aircon also works nicely. The pictures... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() NB: The Empeg head unit pictured is not included (I'd never part with it), although all the speakers listed in the spec above will remain in the car. I'll find a CD unit to put in there so that there's not a gaping hole in the dash. OK, Bad bits: The rear rattles sometimes over bumps. I had the rear legs rebuilt this month by Tein UK but the rattle remains. It may be a bush or something, not had the time to investigate further. It hasn't got any worse since I've owned the car (10 months or so), so I don't think it's anything too serious. There are a few tiny dents in the bonnet, only really visible when you move around the bonnet and catch them in the light. There's also some scuffs to the passenger side of the stock front lip (previous owner syndrome). Given the spec, power and overall condition of this car, I think an asking price of 8.5k is reasonable. If you feel like making me an offer, please do. Bear in mind whilst composing your PM that I don't really want to sell her and I'm certainly in no tearing hurry to part with the best and most rewarding car I've ever owned or driven. If I wasn't emigrating, I'd be keeping her indefinitely. I love this car. So, don't bother me with daft offers ![]() Don't let the car's location put you off. It's quick and cheap to come to the Isle of Wight (as long as you're not staying in a hotel!), the passenger ferry from Portsmouth takes 15 minutes or less and costs around 11 quid return. Just as an aside, the Wife and I are leaving these shores (hopefully) for New Zealand as soon as my build works are completed. Rest assured, I'll be driving another Skyline when I get there ![]() Last edited by Major_Sarcasm; 24th March 2008 at 05:29 PM. |

only £8,500 that looks cheap as chips to me
this "should" be sold very quickly a bargain to be had here I believe unfortunately I have sunk over £23k into mine, incl. the cost of the car so when I say its cheap for the spec etc, its cheap good luck with the sale, although I dont think you will need any ![]() |

Thanks for the comments guys. The thing is, she's not *perfect*, there are a few niggly little bits as detailed in the original post. If she was perfect, I'm sure I could ask a little more.
£8500 is about right I reckon. It's priced so that someone's going to get a LOT of car for the money, but hopefully I won't get every Tom, Dick or Harriet offering me silly money ![]() |

Thanks for the bump, Nick.
I have a chap who's got the money and desperately wants the car but can't get down here for about a week and a half due to a death in the family ![]() He tried giving me a deposit via PayPal last night to hold it for him but I said I'd rather someone viewed before making that kind of commitment. So, the upshot is; she's still for sale, but won't be for long ![]() |
