BMW F800S

thought I'd post a pic of what's been keeping me from daily-driving my GT-R. I've got about 1300km on her now, and broke the bike in HARD. Not as wild as a Jap bike, but with 50% more torque than a Honda CBR600RR, it gets going very quickly - I can easily run 0-100mph-0 between stoplights. It's probably the best handling bike in BMW's lineup, the limited edition HP2 Sport notwithstanding. The custom stubby Supertrapp allowed me to tune the backpressure until I got a good balance of torque and high-end power. One odd thing is that BMW specifies MINERAL oil for the engine until about the 35,000 mile mark. That strikes me as very odd - at the 1000km service I was of course about to bring in some Motul 300V but the dealer was very adamant about the engine not running synthetic until much, much later.

Although it cost more than an '08 Hayabusa, I'm confident I made the right choice

Woohoo a BMW with proper forks and chain-drive!

I do think that that you have the pick of the BMW line-up there.
