Supra Vs Nsx
Hey guys ive been keeping a close eye to your Forum for about a really long time and got many good ideas, hints,so on and so from here. good people, well my name is roman friends call me rom(no i didnt get the nickname from the FF2...i get that a lot). i drive a 1992 honda civic hatchback (actually my second) and love it but very soon to upgrade to a S2000. just a little intro about me
My question is for those who do road racing or have knowledge...do you guys believe the Supra and NSX are evenly matched in stock and modified? i know the Supra is a pretty heavy but i have researched and found out that with a good suspension it would be a mean cornoring machine. Though the NSX is a mean cornoring machine itself too. just want to know what you guys have seen on the tracks or know people, so on. thanks guys from the lil honda boy...lol ![]() |

They each have their own +/-. The supra can make way more hp but is heavy, good for drag, the nsx is great for road and corners but ive never seen a 1200whp nsx yet but then again ive never looked for one.

Roman,
Stick w/ an S2000 or if the funds permit, an NSX. You have a vast knowledge on Honda engines and set-ups. It would be a waste not to use it, especially since you want to do road racing they are both popular cars at road courses. Expecially the S2K.... -Pete |

I had a nicely modified Supra TT and it was a real autobahn stormer, so stable at speed and just effortless to drive fast. With some nice suspension they handle very well too, although they're a handful in the wet.
The NSX is a very different car, all about the handling.

would love to get a nsx lot of money though! but at 276bhp its not the quickest...itd be a said day if youve spent 20k+ on a nsx and a 4k sti impreza is going past you...either way both cars are extremely nice! cant go wrong...

You should be made aware that here in the U.S., huge strides have been made in the Supra world regarding road racing. Lot's of time attack on togue events held here year-round have brought out some of the most techincally built Supras in the world. Twins Turbo Motorsports here in California has shown to have the ability to create a road racing monster. The car weighs under 3,000lbs, and is poised for another weight reduction, which will put it in a class by itself. You have to be properly funded obviously to reap the benefits of what a lightweight Supra can give back to you though.

I've read up a little bit on the Twins' build. They have definately helped pave the way for time attack supras here in the US. It would definately be nice to get that "highway racing/drag racing" moniker their associated with away from the supra's name, since it is a good platform for almost all forms of racing...
