How in the heck did I ever miss this thread? LOL, anyways, great build. Another Masterpiece by RIPS. Gotta luv BB and the custom OEM front bumper and hood induction + cover piece are ingenious.

Any idea on the Torque??? I watched the youtube.com LINK and it said on your computer it went up as high as 1476!!! Or is that for something else? I can see it in no way being that amount in this application. It did say 'Torque' right above the number chart reading though. Thanks.

On the UK dyno we used when there a couple of weeks ago it made 1051whp and 737.7lbft at the wheels without NOS at 1.9 bar and at just 7480rpm.

The fuel pumps were not able to flow enough for us to go any further so we turned the boost down to 1.7 to 1.8 bar and used the single fogger of NOS, with this we made around 800lbft atw and more whp.

At TOTB I was only revving to 8000rpm (not the 9000 we do at lower boost) and to run 155mph with 1740kg requires at least 1100whp so that backed up our dyno numbers nicely.

My 240z RB30 motor is basicly an identicle spec but with a GT45 instead of a GT42 and it doesn't have drysump whereas the Drag-r does, to do the mph we have in the 240z requires just over 1200whp so I'm sure with enough fuel we could have had around the same whp numbers with the Drag-r due to the dry sump and Q16 instead of the wet sump and C16 we use with the 240z.

Put Jeffs motor as it is now, with the same low boost tune as we had at TOTB into a 1300kg GTR and your looking at very low 8s @ around 172-174mph.

Rob

What a drive that must be!

Ahhh, I see. Highlighted what I'm asking about in BOLD. So I'm just wondering from what I just read... unless it is a typo. Did you set it back down @ 1.7 or 1.8 BAR? Or did you mean 1.7 BAR w/o nitrous and 1.8 BAR w/ nitrous (good job on getting the HP & Torque up!). Also I know that C16 is 117 Octane, but Q16? Why am I thinking Biofuel? lol. Is there any real difference or BIG advantage with the Dry Sump over the Wet Sump??? Thanks Rob.

Cheers,
Miller
