Post trackday maintenance
So here's what they do in the post track day maintenance package:
Engine Oil change Transmission Oil change Brake pads changed Brake Fluid Changed Geometry and Alignment reset There might be some other things but this is what's on the coupon i got. The sports maintenance pack costs Yen200k, which is US$2000. I got my first one as a complimentary gift from the dealer. They told me it's valid if i use it within 2-4 weeks after using circuit mode. |

Changing gearbox oil and brake pads seems like overkill to me if its supposed to be done after every track day.
What's circuit mode? The GPS thingy? Would the car enter circuit mode if you entered a track? Last edited by Yakozan; 9th April 2008 at 11:24 AM. |

![]() Circuit mode unlocks the delimiter. Here's the procedure: Enter the track Go to PRESET 2 on the screen Select Water Temp (top left) Scroll down to Circuit Mode and Select Now Water Temp has been replace with Circuit Mode Select Circuit Mode Read disclaimer and acknowledge Now in circuit mode, limiter unlocked. it uses the GPS signal to determine when you're at a track. nissan programmed in the coordinates of all the circuits in japan. What IF you bought a de-limiter and had it fitted. Then, when time has come to really have it serviced, use the coupon. I suppose you need to actually use the circuit mode, so plan to hit the circuit just before your servicing is required. Sounds confusing? It does to me, that way yeou get more bang for the buck. Too bad it does not include new rotors and wheels, then that would be one hell of a coupon. Wonder if you can sell that coupon on ebay or auctions.yahoo.co.jp

Nissan will know if you've removed the limiter, through fitting a VX-ROM or a piggy back device.
Unless you're doing an endurance race you shouldn't need to do more than change the oil and give it a thorough check over ! I suspect this is just Nissan listing what you potentially might need to have changed though, although the price should reflect what needs to be done and not a flat fee. Really it comes down to the warranty and what you're obliged to do to keep it. If you're not worried about keeping it then you have more options with regards to tuning and servicing. If you have a free coupon I say do a couple of track days and then use it.

yup, exactly what i'll do. then i'll fit the delimiter and goodbye warranty. my nissan guy told me last night that half of his customers now don't have the warranty anymore dur to fitting the mine's ecu and exhaust. the performance center still services the cars though, no problem.
