Do you have a link to this site?

Thanks!

Hey R35 NZ, out of interest what is the chassis/build number of your car? or if you don't want to say can you give me a range? like under 500, 500-1000, 1000-1500 etc?

it's just that have 1 car already here in aus with a chassis in the 1500 range and one coming soon in the 3000 range. and I heard rumour in japan that there have been gearbox fault reports on the first 1000 cars, so yeah, just a bit worried about our cars, and if for instance yours is a 1500 range one I will look into it further and start sweating heavily!

Yeah our gearbox is fine. But am told there is a fault that has prompted a recall.

Mine is car 1432.

How is the one you have going.

What computer are you using to talk to it with?

Don't know the part number for the oil filter do you?

Cheers,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

our first one is fine, we haven't got anything yet for diagnostics but will hopefully have a scan tool updated with the latest OBD standard and the R35 software in the near future. It's also being used to develop a locall ECU product so they may be able to inferface with the OBD as part of that project (I really don't know, it's all out of my league!).

I don't have the oil filter part number, but if you look at this page it has the fast number. if you supply that number to any nissan dealer they can get the part/part number for you no problem. 150 Lubricating System :: Engine Mechanical :: Genuine Nissan Parts :: GTR (R35) 2009 :: CourtesyParts.com

Regards,

R

That fast code is for all Nissan Oil Filters unfortunatly, the model specific numbers follow that fast code.

Anything that can be made - can be backed up. Its not something that everyone will get their hands on for sure, but the right people end up with the right cards and things.

i need this!

Will any other service computer work on them?
Do you have a picture of the fault?

FYI Nissan now has a version 8.17 on line. I am running 8.15 and have not seen anything in it for the GTR's.

would be disappointed to hear about widespread gearbox problems if that's true - would have hoped 'little' niggles like these would have been sorted out well in advance of launch??

hopefully if founded, they will come out and admit problem and recall affected cars

it was fixed very early on. unfortunately for some people who had bought their cars through exports dealers, their cars never got the recall because they were already at the docks/warehouse ready for being shipped. all local cars got recalled and obviously the builds since then have not had any problems (apparantly).
