Send a message via MSN to Fuggles
Even better, could you write it up so people in future know how to do it?

manual conversion

hi all, manual conversion not done yet ,still working on it wen i get the time
but so far the gearbox in , you dont have to do the whole pedel box just the clutch pedel i used a r34 gtr one which has a servo so you have to
recess it in the bulkhead, or you can use a standard gts one and master cylinder which goes straight in , will be happy write it up with pics soon
i forgot to say this a manual conversion and rb26 engine conversion to my stagea rs4

Cool, I've often been tempted to buy a manual box but wasnt sure what else I would need, Are you keeping the 4wd or ditching it m8?

I was toying with gtst 2wd manual setup.

Well, looks like I might have to convert mine anyway. I went to collect my car from the place I was keeping it and it had been moved and when I started it up it was making a horrible noise, like a deep grating. Only does it in Park and Neutral. Anyone know what it could be, maybe just the torque convertor? Or more terminal?? They have been doughnutting it I think, due to the circumferencial grooves in the rear tyres that werent there before. Cant reeally prove it tho. B@st@rds!

Andy, I havent checked the fluid at all no, could this cause the horrible noise? I have just driven it and it does it in all gears, It seemed like just the P and N settings at standstill but when it takes up the slack as it were, it doesnt do it till the car moves.

Elvis, ahuh huh huh! Cheers m8, let me know. How easy is the manual conversion. Are you up for sending me a set of instructions etc? Would you consider even doing mine for me at all? I'd put you up for the weekend and pay train fares etc

And....buy beer!!!
