Sigma Cat 1 Alarm will not arm

Hi guys!

I just bought a car with a Sigma Cat 1 Alarm & Immobiliser.
I really don't know what more about the alarm than it has a remote with "S series Type AC111" on the back.

Every time I try to arm the alarm it just beeps four times and then goes completely crazy. I have to manually lock the car with the key, but when I come back I can press the remote twice to arm, and quickly disarm.
It will now be open and ready to go..

I read somewhere that if the bonnet, any doors, sunroof og bootled is open when I try to arm the alarm, it will go off. I've checked that everything is in order but I still can't figure out what's wrong.

If anyone has tricks og maybe even a user manual I'll appreciate help on this

Jonas

And also, if someone has a Alpine CDA 9833R with bluetooth, I'd like to know if the bluetooth function in the reciever has a "on/off" setting..

It was paired up with my cell, but now my phone wont connect anymore for a unknown reason. If I could reset the Alpine unit and maybe pair them again it would work.

Any tips greatly appreciated

Check the wire going to the bonnet switch isnt grounded, or that the bonnet switch is going fully down when the bonnet is shut.
This is the most common cause.

duncan; yes the switch there was a bit loose..
is it supposed to touch the chassis or not touch the chassis when when the bonnet is shut?
seems like a bit of a "home fix" that switch..
