Is the 4100 still a decent oil or should i stay away from it? was previously using castrol magnatec 10w40 in my 270rwkw r33 gts25t and never had a problem with it, but have from what ive read they dont seem to have a very good reputation. What are your thoughts? Cheers Jason

Its a decent oil for what it is, but it is low spec and I would be looking to use something better in the Skyline. can you get the 6100 10w-40?
Cheers Guy

Yes it is ester based just like the 300v, its very expensive here in the UK but may be a better price for you there.
Cheers Guy

Not a not lot in it I would say. The Turbo lite is Motuls budget oil.
Cheers Guy

Hi mate can you recommend an oil for my car,
1995 R33 RB26 twin turbo (R34 engine) mods HKS superdragger, greddy grade 8 plugs, running 1.2bar tops 0.8bar normally, apexi power fc ecu and commander, have no idea about the power output but im guessing 400bhp 100 percent road so far but never say never ![]() oil temp between 70 and 90, its 5w 40 in it just now but not sure of the make, and another quickie, when i change th eoil how many litres should i be putting back in, yes probably a daft question but u gotta ask if u dont know ![]() thanks mate.

Is it ok to use Castrol's Magnatec 5W30 in a stockish R32 gtr running approx 330 bhp @1bar boost and in Belgian (cold) weather?
I only drive on the road for now, and haven't seen high oil temps yet, but I still need to fit an aftermarket gauge so I can see the oiltemp clearly ![]()

At next oil change drop the 10w-60, it isnt even getting up to temp at those temps. 5w-40 is ideal, ester based such as the Silkolene Pro S 5w-40 and the Motul 300v here 5w-40, 5w-40 oil, 5w40, 5w/40
For the gearbox a 75w-90, Silkolene Syn5, Motul Gear300, Castrol Syntrax, Redline Lightweight shokcproof are all ideal 75w-90 Gear oil and you will need 4.1ltr. Cheers Guy
