2009 Supra
Love it.
If it comes in at about £30k it will probably tempt me away from the upcoming 2009 Nissan 370Z, especially if they manage to keep the dynamics as good as the last Supra. Ash |

''2010 Toyota Supra Prices: The "mid-price sports/GT" description and sophisticated hybrid-drive hardware suggests the 2010 Toyota Supra would be priced well above the Nissan 350Z, perhaps close to the $70,000 high-performance Corvette Z06.''

That's not a Supra concept, but a Toyota freestyle proto, this proto was even imagined with a full electronic engine . . . personally I think there will never be a car again that will have a Supra badge at Toyota . . The LF-A is the primus of Toyota, no space anymore for a nearly same powered Supra at 1/4 of the LF/A price in the modelrange . . . new Celica, lexus SC and other lexus sports coupes will fill the lines . . .

$70,000??
Well $70,000 is only about £35,000 at todays exchange so its not much infront of the 350Z which is already £30k and the 370Z Im sure will be £30k in base let alone GT spec.
Im not sure about there not being space for a Supra in the range. The LF is a 500bhp+ supercar. The Celica is dead, but if it comes back will likely be a 200bhp coupe. as it has been for the last two generations. The last Supra had 320bhp, and if this is a "mid-range" sportster to compete with the new 330bhp 370Z then it would seem to cover the middle ground very nicely. Not arguing that it might well end up being a Lexus badge (in the same way Europes Skyline will carry the G37 Infiniti badge...), but I think Toyota have a gap to cover here! Ash |
