Someone is selling a L55 GTR somewhere. dont know if you are interested. I want one too, the only thing is that this one makes the car look a year older.

Yeah if it is on G plate, it does look private, but for an M reg, having a L plate will make it look a year older, if u see what I mean. I dont mind having a private plate starting with the letter G or C or B whateve, this way one can tell its a private plate, as the car don't look a G reg or older.

Could not agree more mate.
I would like to keep mine on the same year if possible.

It seems like most of the private plates for Skylines have been snapped up in the past!

Three years ago there were thousands of GTR plates on DVLA. Now there's less than 250.

As for putting it on an L, your only making an 12 year old Datsun look like a 13 year Datsun. So what? lol

Also, anyone in the know will spot that you can't get a pre 'M' 33.

If you must have an M, M155 GTR is on for £999. lol

lol, I konw what you are saying big mod, but there are always some idiots out there who do not understand about private plates or even skyline GTR itself. I have had so many boys in the local area asking me how much my car is worth, when I say round about £18,000 they start laughing and say "its only an M reg nissan! it cant be worht that much, they say its probably worth about £3,000 lol, they think its a Primera or something, you get my point? so there will always be peole saying the car is an L reg even if it says GTR at the end.
And about that plate you are suggesting M155 GTR, lol thats a big NO. if it was M12 GTR, which reads MR GTR then yes.

Errrm..........

Sorry mate, my post wasn't aimed at you particularly: I was just trying to be humorous by pointing out that, actually, rather fewer people are concerned about the year than you might think, as demonstrated by the fact that I've just bought a plate that makes my car look two years older. Clearly I was trying to be too subtle. Sorry.

I don't agree with that, I in fact think its vise versa, more people in fact would prefer to have a private plate without having to go a few reg down (as clearly displayed above by 323ian and myself), unless they choose a name or whatever. anyways cant be bothered with this thread anymore, leave it out mate, enjoy your L reg Datsun.

My G13 GTR looks better than P13 GTR as my Nickname has been GIB for years so it fits the glove nicely.

When im driving down the street people shout "look, Skyline" not "look a G reg" !

I'm beginning to wonder why you post on the "GTR" forum, you seem very negative about "Datsuns". It's good that you're bored with this thread, as I won't have to bother reading your reply.
