i've got a Nissan Primera P11 GT, and it has a very importand problem i hope u guys can help.

Mods:- if u can leave this in here and give me a few days to see if anyone can help please, if not......delete this topic or move it, Thanks.

here is how it went:-

20-5-03:- fitted new brakes disc and pads ( all 4 of them ) with the help of R-Tec, these items are Black diamond. On the very same afternoon after a very very slow drive back from R-Tec with very very light braking i've somehow got back home but found out that there is a deepish groove on the disc in the front left, and i've shit myself on that day and dont know if its a stone that got caught in the pads while driving on the motorway or what. But i've gave hope to that its just a small thing ( like i know ) and see if it'll go away in a few more drive.

21-5-03:- Night time at 11:30pm, i've got so bord i drove the car for 80miles to bed in the brakes with extreme light pressure and lots of engine braking. Now that the disc and pads done 160miles( i did 80miles on the way back from R-Tec taking a longer route ) i've started to put a little bit more pressure on it to make sure i've bedded them in.

22-5-03:- went out at 1:30pm to catch up with my mates to see hows things, and on the way back i took the longer route which is M1 and drove at 70mph so incase of sudden crash in the front i'll still be able to stop in time even tho im not hammering the brakes. BUT! some idiot in the front somehow got a bit hyper and stamp on his brakes! i've left about 6 car lenght to the car in front, so i put my foot on the brakes and selected 4th gear to help aid slowing down. BUT!!!!!!! there is a ****ing scraping sound coming from the front left so i let the brakes go and put the car in 3rd to help slowing down.

22-5-03:- 2:15pm 200 meters from the drive way and a bloody bus cut in front of me coz there was a parked car on his side so i braked with a little bit more pressure and this ****ing scraping sound got louder! Parked the car on the drive way and got out to see what the **** is going on with the front left.....BLACK SMOKE POURING OUT OF THE LEFT FRONT BRAKES!!!!!!!!! shit myself and called R-Tec to see what those ****ers did to my brakes and they said '' i think your brakes caliper is sticky.....and the pads are rubbing the disc so smoke is coming out...''..............WHAT?!?!?! they asked me if i can get the car back to them to have a look but i said im not planning to drive a car for 30miles with a bloody sticky caliper coz i might crash!

22-5-03:- called up one of my mate who fix cars for a living and see what he said, '' it might just be dust, coz its so new it might just be dust being rubbed off and thats what happens, black smoke'' eh?? but the thing is.......i have all 4 of them changed how can just ONE doing it? and not all 4 of them??

now........i hope whoever is reading this is still awake and can give me some answers.......my mate said give it a few days and see if it still smoking, coz if u do have a sticky caliper the car will always be pouring smoke out, but its not, its only doing it at high speed and more brake pressure.

so.........what can i do now?

i hope someone can help me here, as i have a new born cousin up north waiting for me to see.
