Davros and Phil - nice one

Davros / Phil (and all the lads and lasses - especially Paul @ Marshall Nissan),

Many thanks for last night, the black 35 was stunning, great to see it rip up the tarmac. Shame we didnt win a lottery run but myself and Farah really enjoyed it. Food was great, people spot on - amazing to see how many owners were upgrading from 350Z to GTR.. I didn't meet any fellow R34 owners.

I will post a vid on you tube later today, again many thanks chaps.

Umar.

Excellent evening Dave! Two GT-Rs to look at, different colours seen in daylight! Different wheel colours, chance to check the Premium interior - well done.

And good hospitality too - all in all an excellent event........ plus a back seat ride at 155mph! Great!

Only 310 days to go (approx!!!).....

What a venue...

Davros and Marshalls have set the bar for customer based events. How many people can borrow an airport? I new Dave would come up with the goods...

Went for a blat in the passenger seat 1.1G peak lateral G in the damp with little trauma was deeply impressive standing start acceleartion literally caves your stomach in.

What a car...what a dealership

Dave/Phil,

I think for future events you should prod nissan to provide better marketing collateral for the product. We saw the video which was great .. however there was a lack of info or something that marked this momentous event. I guess this will happen at the track days, however Nissan Marketing should really have some more visibility in this space. Just my 2 cents worth - it was a great event, but the next one should have a bit more participation from the big N.

Hi! Thanks for your feedback it is appreciated! I'm glad that you had a good night, even if you did bring on the rain!!

Believe it or not, the event yesterday had no direct involvement from Nissan. We borrowed their car and pagoda, but the whole event was held to allow all of our customers to meet me and Davros and to be introduced to the Marshall Motor Group! It was organised by myself, Dave and the team and it was a choice not to have direct Nissan involvement! The airport was a well negotiated bonus (Thanks Dave!).

The HPC tour is entirely a Nissan event, so when you come along the delaership will be fully kitted out with Nissan information and GT-R bits and pieces!

Once again, thanks for your feedback and thank you for coming along and helping make the launch what it was!

Many thanks to all our Marshall GT-R customers!!

Phil.

Paul, you need to get them hosted. The one I usually use is Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket

Let me know if you get stuck... depending on how many and their size, I may be able to host some pics.

Cheers Dave and Phil, haven't posted until now as we made a weekend of it and have only just got back! Was very interesting to see two cars in differing colours, loved the white which seemed to shrink the car and show off the lines but the black had a real menace about it especially on the move.Sounded great in anger, and surprisingly quiet at tickover. (Get that exhaust fitted Ben!)Nice food, drink and staff, although the kids keep reminding me that they kicked my butt on the playstations!
Tiny, tiny, bit concerned about the lack of room inside(can't get comfortable with the kids behind) and pleased I've gone for the black edition as I think the red bits will break up the interior a bit. (Very impressed with the quality of materials).
Thanks again for an interesting insight.

Now I've got the hang of this...

I too felt that the start up was a bit underwhelming, but it did sound very refined and smooth. Just settled very quickly into a soft hum. The sound of the car pulling away under acceleration was fantastic. It just seemed sooo fast.
David then drove a few lucky people along the airstrip and to see this black shape literally whizz along was outstanding - it was like watching something setting the new landspeed record!. Just how fast did you get it going Davros??
