I spoke to the concierge today. I was told that the helmets will be sent out by post around the end of July with our written invitation to our designated track day. He also initially said that there has been no information that the concierge have received yet about parts 2,3 and 4 of the challenge...didn't seem to know they existed...i read out the letter that Paula from Germany kindly posted on the forum and eventually he agreed that there would be subsequent challenges but he said they will definitely not be till next year when the cars start arriving (we drive nissan's cars in the challenges not our own ) He said we'll have to pay for the subsequent challenges if we want to do them. He also said that anyone cancelling their order would then be charged retrospectively for their free trackday. I'm not going to be cancelling my car order but if anyone does I would advise them to challenge the legality of being charged retrospectively for something which is presented as a free gift! I generally take all these things with a pinch of salt though ever since I got an email from someone in the concierge saying that Goodwood was cancelled this year

lol the concierge i spoke to knew about the 4track challenges and didn't say anything about being charged, but he did say that the first track event is more an introduction to show and tell us about the car so to speak, and the others would be a lot more involving i'm assuming obviously

Someone mentioned, (though can't find it now), that we would be on the National Circuit rather than the full GP. Who has provided this information? So far i have had nothing from Nissan other than an invitation to come see the car at the Motor Show in London.

I went on the events site yesterday and there were no Siverstone track days.

I rang up the concierge service and asked whether additional places or dates would be made available. Rep was quite snotty and said No, the rep then explained that the track day was not part of the car purchase and that I didn't have a right to attend. I stayed impressivley calam and thanked him for his time.

I was just about to write a snotty letter and just checked the event site - loads of dates - so I'm booked in.

I wonder if this is because they've added more places or whether a load of people have cancelled today

when you log in, is there a space in your user name? I have come across a few with spaces when it should be an underscore, if this helps??

I was speaking to Nissan staff at Goodwood yesterday about this as i'm also getting rather worried about not getting the track day(s) and helmet (i ordered end of June).

There was an example of the helmet in the GT-R 'dome' (looked v nice) and on the poster above it stated that the Race Academy is available to ALL PRE-ORDER CUSTOMERS. When I asked someone, they said that extra dates are not yet confirmed but assured me that all pre-order customers will definitely receive the Race Academy package.

Basically they said to be patient and I won't be disappointed. Personally i don't mind waiting until say early 2009 for the track day(s), just as long as I get them at some point before taking delivery. So I am much happier now after speaking to them. BTW - when I asked the concierge about this a couple of weeks back they said extra dates would be provided. Seems crazy that different people get different answers to the same questions! I wouldn't trust anything the concierge says at this stage.
