I am no expert at as its been ages until few weeks ago really but having just done a track day recently
take it easy and be smouth never follow the car in front as he might have cocked it up The GTR is very forgiving be gental and firm and it will save you learn your lines thro each corner once you are out there you will love it |

Never done a trackday either
However I did come first in the XKR sprint event at Palmersport ..... and last in the Porsche 911 event If I recall correctly good tips were; - hoof it down the straights - brake much later than you would think into the bends - don't change gear in the bends or engage in any sharp accelaration, just carry existing speed - hoof it out of the bend My lasting recollection is not speed on the straights but how fast you can actually go round bends. |

You're half right. Your speed on the straights is related to the speed that you exit the corner, so the corners that you have to go round as quickly as possible are those followed by a long straight. If you are half-way round the corner and realise that you are going too fast don't brake or back off just keep going at a steady speed and 99% of the time you will get round OK, especially with a Skyline/R35.

The instructors are usually good judges of your capabilities and will either reign you in or give instruction to push when required.
I found this at the time of airing a good piece of tv, one or 2 of u may find it interesting. YouTube - Top Gear Jackie Stewart teaches James May how to drive a car |

I have just checked by registration fot eht Nurburgring Trackday 18 Sep and the registration form now allows a partner at a cost of 106 Euros. This also appears for the Silverstone days from 4 Aug. Am I seeing things I thought NISSAN said no spouses???

Does anybody know how many people per event and how many cars? Just curious on how much seat time we actually get from the 50 minute sessions. |
