I spoke to the Concierg service who stated "no guests" only the person named on the contract would be able to view the cars. He told me the half day would start of with lunch (I'm booked for the 18th PM) then you would be introduced to the car then a few slow laps then a few v. fast laps. I take it the laps will all be done under instruction or are they going to let us loose on our own (don't think so do you ?).

I've asked for details to be emailed so will post when it arrives

Never done a trackday before so am a bit nervous about the ring. Does anyone have any advice on it will they just let us loose on the track? Will i need a helmet?

I assume you mean the Nordschleife? If you do, you need your 350Z and some cash to buy a ticket from the office! Thats it! Assuming the track is open on the day you're there. Good website to check out is Ben Lovejoy's Nurburgring Nordschleife website

I do indeed! So no helmet or safety instructions required! The fools! The nordschleife is open all day on sunday the 14th so i can't wait. I've always wanted to do the 'ring so the race academy is a very good excuse to finally go. Has anyone else been from Hull before and stopped in amsterdam? We will be stopping for 'coffee' in dam on sat 13th so your all quite welcome to join us!! Also does the 20 people per session apply to the nurburgring too? I was told between 40 to 100 could attend when i rang the vip number.

I've booked for 15th am too.
When are we getting confirmation of our dates?

Anyway, yes the Nordschleife is open all day on the 14th.
It's about a 4.5 hour drive from Calais.

For you newbies, read Ben's site as mentioned above.

Things get a little hectic on a public weekend, so just take it easy.
And no, practising on the Playstation will not prepare you for the place!

The Nissan Academy will be on the GP circuit, which is a lot safer.

We need to know about the guest situation. I'll speak to Andy M later.

"The Nissan Academy will be on the GP circuit, which is a lot safer."

Really!? That's dissapointing - I though we'd be able to have a go at beating the 7.29!??? My whole point of going to the ring was to see how fast I could do it in...
